Little Bag Hair by Mystery Jets
Song #6
Mystery Jets' music is so diverse they are one of the few bands whom i cannot describe what genre their music falls into....and THAT is a brilliant thing indeed. Although i cannot tell what kind of music they are, they like to often to describe themselves as prog-rock and are influenced by likes of King Crimson and Syd Barrett. The influences are present in their music but in an ultimately modern way. Mystery Jets can make a sad subject seem happy because their music is so very often full off joy and jumpy beats and when they want you to feel sad, you really feel it. Hailing from Eel Pie Island in London England, these boys are about to released their very anticipated sophomore album and by the sounds of the new tracks like 'Flakes' and 'Young Love' it's going to be even more genius than 'Making Dens/Zootime'.

Mare Of The Night by Magneta Lane
Song #5
Magneta Lane a Toronto, Canada band brought back girl garage with a vengence when they debuted back in 2003. Their mad music and stab in the back lyrics are what girl power is all about. They've released an ep 'The Constant Lover' and an album 'Dancing With Daggers' and were realeased on the indie label Paperbag Records and they are set to release their sophomore album very soon. I've been lucky enough to see them live and they are amazing! They playing amazingly well live and i cannot wait to see more of it. We need more girl bands like this one.

The Morning After by Count Five

Song #4
Count Five had only one of their singles chart back in the 60's and it was the amazing 'Psychotic Reaction'. Start by listening to that track and you're hooked but if you are already into them or 60's garage punk then i've got another track by them for you. They were 5 guys in their teens who decided to form a band, and were known for wearing capes during their shows (as seen in the photo) they only released the one album 'Psychotic Reaction' but put out loads of singles even if none of the others charted they are still one of the most known and remembered garage bands of their time and are definetely my favorite by far.

We All Fall Down by NEiLS CHiLDREN
Neils Children have to be one of my top favorite modern bands, i really cannot think of any other bands out there right now that sound like them. Their amazing new wave/punk sound is mesmerizing, and every song has it's own little different genre, songs like 'An Exchange Part 1' and 'Sometimes It's Hard To Let Go' lean more towards their psychedelic side. Tracks like 'Another Day' show pure new age new wave and then you have songs such as 'Window Shopping' and 'Standup' that give you that gritty punk love. Their diversity and amazing musical and lyrical sense and talent are what makes this English band (from Cheshunt, Hertfordshire) absolute love to the ears. I hope someday they are truly recognized by many for their genius art, and that they keep on making music for years and years to come.

Todo O Dia by Dandi Wind
I decided to start this 'one song a day' blog with one of my favorite bands. Dandi Wind an amazing Canadian band hailing from Montreal and Vancouver are an insane duo, and when i say insane i mean insane in every way possible, Their live shows are extremely wild with singer Dandi hurling herself around and about the stage, dancing like no one's watching, while mastermind Szam Findlay does all the music and he truly is a genius, because plays everything you hear. With genius tracks, they've realeased an ep 'Bait The Traps', a debut album 'Concrete Igloo', and a few other ep's 'Fresh Humiliation' and a remix ep 'Sacrificial' and a few other singles udner their belt AND getting ready to released their long awaited sophomore album, there is no stopping these two.
I chose the song Todo O Dia off their ep Bait The Traps, because ive been listening to it loads latetly and the portugese in it is amazing, definetly expect me to post more tracks from them later on
